Jan Schultz Associates

Ms. Schultz’s healthcare CPD career spans over 30 years and includes working on the education staff of Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Inc. (AORN), professional relations and marketing positions with several medical device manufacturers, and most recently 16 years at the Director level in medical education companies, including 12 years with the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) where she was Director of Education Outcomes and Accreditation. In that position, she led the PIM outcomes measurement department, as well as helped to maintain as many as 13 accreditations. In 2017, she championed PIM’s successful application for Joint Accreditation, which included a full 6-year term. After retiring from PIM in June 2018, Ms. Schultz founded her own consulting firm. She has served as an ACCME surveyor and is currently a Joint Accreditation surveyor.

Ms. Schultz has also been actively involved in both the Alliance and the Colorado regional CPD organization (Colorado Alliance for CME – CACME). Prior to being elected to the Board of Directors, she served as a member of the Nominating Committee and the Certification Commission, within which she chaired the Eligibility Review Committee. Within CACME, she served as treasurer, president-elect, president, and past-president and has presented many times at CACME educational events.

Ms. Schultz became a CHCP in September 2008 and has recertified every 3 years since that time. She became a Fellow of the Alliance at the Annual Meeting in 2018.

Director of Pharmacy Continuing Education
University of Texas at Austin

Dr. Baumgart received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He joined the college after serving as the Executive Director of The University of Texas at Austin’s Volunteer and Service Learning Center.

Sarah's background spans education, operations and communication. She brings expertise in accreditation requirements and policies, educational design, grant development, project management and event planning and logistics. Sarah is adept at development and implementation of policies and procedures across various stakeholder groups.  As a Program Manager, Sarah works with organizations to translate accreditation board criteria and to provide solutions for consistency in management and documentation of CME/CE compliance across accredited initiatives.  She is a member of the Alliance and the Colorado Association for Continuing Medical Education and currently serves on the Alliance Almanac Editorial Board. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Pepperdine University.

Amanda has over ten years of experience in continuing healthcare education and clinical research. In her current role at PIM, she leads the company’s educational outcomes division, as well as organizational accreditation management. Her responsibilities include working with education partners to develop and execute meaningful outcomes studies that measure the advancement of changes in knowledge, competence, and performance of healthcare providers. Additionally, Amanda serves as the compliance officer, answering all questions related to the company’s accreditation requirements.

With expertise in adult learning principles, outcomes analysis, and CME/CE-related research, Amanda brings a unique perspective to PIM and our partners. She has delivered numerous presentations on adult learning principles, compliance, faculty management, and CME/CE related research. Her publications include a White Paper on CME scrutiny and industry articles on faculty management and the value CME.

Amanda earned her Certified CPD Professional credential in March 2011, and her research career includes experience at both Johns Hopkins University and the University of Colorado. She received her MS and PhD degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Donna has been an Education Systems Manager for over twenty years, which has included management of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program, Mandatory Training Program, and Orientation Program.

During this time Donna has twice been President of the Colorado Alliance of Continuing Medical Education (CACME). She has also been involved in the community as a mentor and trainer for Directors and Managers of Continuing Medical Education. In addition, she has written various articles for Alliance for CME Almanac, Colorado Medicine, and other newsletters. 

Sr. Industry Adviser 
MGMA 

With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Andrew Hajde, CMPE, Sr. Industry Adviser with MGMA has held numerous high-level operations management positions in the healthcare industry.  His most recent role in healthcare prior to working at MGMA was supervising 14 medical practices, with 78 providers, and 200+ employees for a fortune 500 healthcare company.  The practice specialties supervised included internal medicine, OB/GYN, urology, endocrine, radiation oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vein surgery, bariatric surgery, cardio-thoracic surgery, and cardiology.  Over his years he also worked in various medical billing related roles including in management, opened/acquired 25 medical practices, and managed an occupational medicine and rehab (PT/OT) practice.  He has spent many years doing strategic planning, benchmarking, operational improvement, employee/manager development, and strategic marketing.

Sr. CEU Coordinator 
MGMA 

Chantel has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She stated her journey in Continuing Healthcare Education (CHE) in 2016 at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Her first introduction to CHE, was preparing MGMA’s ACCME pre-application for Continuing Medical Education (CME). With her help, MGMA gained provisional approval to offer CME credit in 2018. Chantel has become a leader in MGMA’s educational department and grown MGMA’s educational offerings by 31% over the last three years. She has expaned their continuing education credit opportunities to now offer on average six different types of CHE credit per program. In 2019, Chantel single handedly prepared MGMA’s ACCME Self Study and Performance in Practice Review. Currently, Chantel is preparing to get MGMA’s Lean Six Sigma course certificated. This will bring MGMA up to three certification programs: ACMPE, CPC and ICGB.

 

Chantel joined the Colorado Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (CACME) in 2017. In 2018, she volunteered on CACME Annual Conference Committee and was elected as the secretary on the CACME Executive Committee (EC) Board. When the elected Vice President stepped down, Chantel stepped up to help fill this role. She took lead in planning the 2019 CACME Annual Leadership Conference and provided valuable support for the EC Board. She looks forward to her future with CACME and is on the path to becoming CPD Certified.
